Cannon Thomas, Ph.D., is an executive coach who specializes in working with leadership teams. He is a licensed clinical psychologist in California and Virginia. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco and mentors student entrepreneurs through Darden Venture Labs at Darden Business School.

Prior to offering services as a coach and consultant, Cannon practiced as a clinical psychologist for fifteen years. He is a founding partner in The San Francisco Group for Evidence-Based Psychotherapy. His practice specialized in skill development for optimizing performance and on interpersonal relationships. He continues to be an active researcher in psychology, emphasizing enhancing performance through expert training of psychotherapists.

Cannon received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Virginia and completed post-doctoral training at Stanford University.

Cannon writes regularly for Psychology Today and is currently working on a book, Teams: Building the Organizations that Enrich our Culture. He also is a husband, a father, and a triathlete.
